Devils Fork State Park

When the world shut down at the start of the pandemic, so did our state parks here in South Carolina. Being new to the state we were so eager to get out and explore, but of course understood the severity of the situation and waited patiently. You can bet as soon as they opened in May we purchased our unlimited pass and headed out opening weekend! Devils Fork State Park located on Lake Jocassee was our first stop.

The Oconee Bell nature trail is located within Devils Fork. This was our initial test run for hiking with the babies using our Infantino baby carriers. Logan carried Landon and I carried Miles. They were just under 11 months old at the time and almost 23lbs…so it was definitely a workout but we all enjoyed it!

We’re hoping to raise little adventurers just like us. I think we are off to a good start!

Lake Jocassee is really a sight to see. I can’t wait to get out there by boat (hopefully next spring/summer). It reminds me of water you’d see in the Caribbean.
